The dean

The dean of the faculty within the limits of his abilities and in accordance with the legislation in force: 

• Performs the general management of the faculty; 
• Activates on behalf of the faculty, representing it both within the University, as well as in relations with other individuals and legal entities; 
• Is directly subordinated to the rector of the educational institution; 
• Manages the meetings of the faculty Council and its Office Council and ensures fulfillment of the tasks received; 
• Organizes, coordinates and controles the accomplishment of the process of studies and scientific research within the faculty; 
• Coordinates the process of selecting and completing the states with teachers, scientists and auxiliaries. 
• Approves the individual work plans of the heads of the structural subdivisions of the faculty. 
• Performs the direction and control of the movement of the contingent of students within the faculty 
• Directs the processes of granting students scholarships, of assigning rooms in student dorms. 
• Proposes to the rector for appointment or dismissal from the post the nominations for the position of vice-dean. 
• Determines and distributes the functions, rights and responsibilities between the vice-deans. 
• Presents to the Council of the faculty the report on the didactic-scientific and educational activity of the faculty. 
• Is responsible for organizing and conducting the entire activity of the faculty, for observing the legislation in force, for the discipline of work by the entire staff of the faculty.
