Student Activities

The student life is always full of energy and curiosity. TUM has a lot to offer to make it memorable, whether you decide to be a part of a student organization or to participate in various cultural activities. 

Sports 

We pride ourselves with high results in this field as well as advanced training methods of the athletes. Regardless of your fitness level, you have the chance to improve your performance, thanks to the opportunities offered by TUM. The TUM Youth Sports Complex has two football fields, tennis courts, volleyball courts, an eight-color track and jumping areas. The Sports and Leisure Center has a gym, basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, table tennis, mini-football ares. Most of the championships are held here. TUM is the only higher education institution in the country, which annually participates with 6-7 teams of sports games in the national championships. 

The popular music and dance ensemble “Youth” 

The ensemble of popular dances “Youth” was created in 1965. Over the years, the group has held various concerts both in the villages and cities of Moldova as well as abroad. Thanks to the high artistic craftsmanship, the ensemble enjoys special mertis and numerous distinctions. Annually, the ensemble is renewed with first year students, who replace the university graduates. 

The brass band  

Founded in 1975, the orchestra has held a number of concerts over time. The orchestra consists of 25 students from various faculties of the university. It is noted through a rich repertoire, which includes songs by both Moldovan and European composers. Annually, the orchestra participates in various events, enjoying high appreciation. 

University Center for Career Information and Guidance (CEGHID)  

CEGHID offers support to students in career development. Here you will receive information about the internship offered by the companies, the existing jobs and conditions of employment. CEGHID provides assistance in the completion of CVs and letters of intent, but also in a more efficient search for a job. 

The Technico-Scientific Library  

TUM has a library structured in six central services and 7 branch libraries at the faculties, where various scientific, cultural and educational activities are organized annually. The collections of the library number over 1 million. 19 thousand works in the fields of science and technology. Each year the collections are enriched with about 10-16 thousand copies, including from the TUM publishing house. An important resource for readers is the online catalog, which can be accessed on the website of the library www.library.utm.md. Also here, the users can come with purchase proposals, thus contributing to the completion of the collections. In order to benefit from the library services, you must have a student card or a TUM collaborator ID.

Erasmus Mobilities 

The Erasmus+ program gives you the opportunity to study abroad. The experience can last from 3 to 12 months. It’s a good opportunity to broaden your horizons, learn new things and make new friends. You just need the courage, a desire to make changes and enthusiasm. The rest will be done with our support.
