Between 13 and 17 July 2026, Ana Țurcan, PhD and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics, participated in an Erasmus+ KA1 staff training mobility hosted by Kadir Has University in Istanbul, Türkiye. Together with Valentina Frunze, International Programmes Specialist at the UTM Erasmus+ Centre, she represented the Technical University of Moldova in an exchange of experience focused on internationalisation, the management of academic mobility programmes, and the development of student support services.
During the visit, the UTM representatives held working meetings with members of the Erasmus+ Office and the administrative staff of the host university. The discussions focused on institutional practices in the field of internationalisation and on identifying new areas of cooperation between the two universities.
The topics addressed included the development of Erasmus+ mobility opportunities for students and academic staff, the organisation of staff training and staff teaching mobilities, the development of joint programmes and international projects, as well as support for the integration of international students into the university community.
The mobility represented a valuable professional experience for the FCIM academic staff member, offering new perspectives on the organisation of academic and administrative activities and on expanding international opportunities for the faculty’s students and staff.
At the same time, the visit contributed to strengthening the relationship between the Technical University of Moldova and Kadir Has University, opening new prospects for cooperation in education, research, and innovation.
Through participation in such mobility programmes, FCIM reaffirms its commitment to internationalisation, the exchange of good practices, and the development of academic cooperation with partner universities abroad.
