During this period, students and faculty of the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Microelectronics participate in the 5th edition of the Eastern European Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics Workshop (EEBG 2026), organized at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
At this prestigious summer school, FCIM is represented by: DIIS faculty members Damian Dubciuc, Nicolai Drabcinski and Software Engineering graduate Nely Garbuz.
EEBG is one of the most important summer schools in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to bioinformatics and computational genomics, annually bringing together students, PhD students, young researchers and international experts from academia and industry. The program offers participants the opportunity to interact with researchers from prestigious universities and research centers in Europe and the United States, through lectures, practical sessions and networking activities.
This year’s edition includes sessions dedicated to computational genomics, bioinformatics, metagenomics, microbiome analysis, transcriptomics, molecular modeling and applications of artificial intelligence in biomedical research, providing participants with access to the latest research directions and tools used in the field.
The participation of FCIM representatives in this summer school contributes to the development of advanced skills in the field of bioinformatics and computational genomics, facilitates the exchange of experience with international researchers and strengthens the involvement of the faculty in international scientific projects and collaborations.
We wish FCIM representatives much success and a valuable academic experience within EEBG 2026!
