The Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics (FCIM) continues to develop strategic partnerships with the IT environment, offering students relevant professional training opportunities. An eloquent example is the internship carried out by students of the Francophone Branch “Informatics” within the Globant company, a trusted partner of the faculty.
The collaboration, initiated since the time when the company was operating under the name Pentalog, has been consolidated over time, becoming an essential element in the training of future IT specialists, especially in a Francophone context. Through the active involvement of the Globant team, students benefit from an efficient professional integration process, in an environment that facilitates the application of theoretical knowledge in real situations.
Over the course of eight weeks, students participated in an intensive internship, during which they were involved in concrete projects and had access to the expertise of industry specialists. The activities carried out contributed both to the development of technical skills and to the understanding of the processes and standards specific to the professional environment.
A particularly important aspect was the support provided in the development of bachelor’s theses, with students benefiting from continuous guidance, technical consultancy and applied feedback, essential elements for the production of relevant and quality work.
The results of this program reflect the constant involvement of industry partners. In this context, we sincerely thank Ms. Elena Mutruc, Country Manager Globant, for supporting the collaboration, as well as Mr. Mihail Burlac, Technical Director, and Ion Prida, Learning and Development Manager, for their professionalism and contribution to the training of students.
This initiative highlights the importance of cooperation between academia and industry, demonstrating that, through sustainable partnerships, the training of competent specialists, adapted to the current demands of the labor market, can be supported.
