Students of the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Microelectronics (FCIM), from the Data Science and Applied Informatics specialties, successfully completed the undergraduate internship at Orange Systems Moldova, held from March 2 to 27, 2026.
The closing event took place in Orange kITchen, where the students presented their projects developed during the four weeks. The final presentations demonstrated not only the high level of involvement of the participants, but also their ability to deliver relevant technical solutions in a short time.
The company’s director, Sergiu Plăcinta, appreciated the results obtained by the students and their involvement during the internship, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the training of future specialists.
Alongside him, Victor Bivol, IT service delivery manager, highlighted the evolution of the participants and the quality of the projects carried out. In turn, Elena Donici, development and talent management coordinator, noted the rapid progress and impressive results achieved in a relatively short time. Adriana Cristalov, IT recruitment coordinator, a graduate of the Information Management specialty at FCIM, also played an essential role in the organization and efficient implementation of the internship, actively contributing to maintaining an efficient collaboration between the company and the academic environment.
During the internship, the students worked in teams on real projects, guided by experienced mentors: Ion Tihon, Natalia Onofrei and Egor Șerbașov. Under their guidance, the participants managed to develop functional applications, create convincing demos and impress with their professional approach to the tasks.
The feedback provided by the students confirms the positive impact of this experience: in record time, they managed to develop their technical skills, better understand the requirements of the IT industry and gain confidence in their own abilities.
The internship at Orange Systems Moldova reconfirms the importance of partnerships between the university and the economic environment, demonstrating that through collaboration, mentoring and active involvement we can train specialists prepared to respond to the current challenges of the labor market.
