History

The department of Socio-Human Sciences (CȘSU) was created as a result of the combination of three departments “Romanian History”, “Philosophy” and “Politology”, by the decision of the TUM senate on October 25, 1994. The department ensures the humanitarian preparation of future engineers, offering them knowledge in the following fields: “Philosophy and history of philosophy”, “Politology”, “Sociology”, “Professional ethics”, “Basics of communication”, “Methodology and history of science”, “Theory and practice of European integration”, “The bases of the state and the law”, “Culture of speech”.

  • History of the Romanians and their civilization; 
  • The history of science and technology development; History and methodology of science; 
  • Philosophy and history of philosophy. 
  • Theory of education; Sociology of the disadvantaged parts of society; 
  • Philosophical foundations of engineering thinking; Engineering psychology; 
  • Current problems of political science; The theory and practice of European integration.
