During the “Internationalization Week 2026”, held at the Technical University of Moldova, on May 15, 2026, the CROSSCOMP 2.0 project team – “Upgrade of the Cross-Border Regional Hub of Competences for the Automotive Industry for Green and Digital Emerging Trends” from the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics promoted international academic cooperation and the development of dialogue between students, teaching staff and representatives of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, Romania.
During the event, students, teaching and scientific-didactic staff, as well as guests present, had the opportunity to get acquainted with the strategic approach aimed at strengthening technical training in the field of automotive engineering, in the context of the transition to a green and digital industry.
At the same time, the expected results were presented, including:
- development of a common educational strategy for the integration of green and digital trends into technical training programs;
- creation of a joint master’s program with a double degree in the field of Applied Electronics;
- modernization of three specialized laboratories in both universities;
- strengthening the relationship between the university and the industry in the training of the future workforce.
The CROSSCOMP 2.0 project is funded by the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania–Republic of Moldova Program and contributes to the integration of green and digital trends in university technical training, promoting internationalization, innovation and bringing the academic environment closer to the current requirements of the industry.
