The Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics had an intense week, full of academic activities, exchange of experience and international collaborations, carried out within the Erasmus+ program.
During this period, FCIM had the honor of hosting seven professors and researchers from Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Romania who participated in teaching and experience exchange activities with the faculty and students:

- Assoc. Prof. Ivelina Balabanova – Technical University of Gabrovo, Bulgaria
- Assoc. Prof. Georgi Georgiev – Technical University of Gabrovo, Bulgaria
- Mustafa Can Turan – Kadir Has University, Turkey
- Assoc. Prof. Dorin-Mircea Popovici – Ovidius University of Constanta, Virtual and Augmented Reality Research Lab – CeRVA, Romania
- Assoc. Prof. Norina Popovici – Ovidius University of Constanta, Romania
The visit agenda included academic presentations, lessons dedicated to artificial intelligence, mixed reality technologies, and natural language processing, meetings with the faculty leadership, activities oriented towards internationalization, and the development of academic cooperation.
A special interest from the students was generated by the presentation given by Dorin-Mircea Popovici on the topic “Using Mixed Reality Technology in Support of Cultural Heritage Digitization”, dedicated to the use of mixed reality technologies for the digitization of cultural heritage. The students appreciated the opportunity to discover modern applications of immersive technologies and their impact in the preservation and valorization of cultural heritage.
This week represented not only an exchange of knowledge and experiences, but also an important opportunity to strengthen international academic relations and identify new directions for collaboration in the fields of education, research, and innovation.
The openness of the teaching staff and the active involvement of the FCIM community have contributed to creating an environment conducive to academic dialogue and the development of future international partnerships. Through such initiatives, the faculty reaffirms its commitment to internationalization, academic cooperation, and integration into the European space of education and research.
FCIM continues to promote international collaborations and the exchange of good practices, offering students and teachers the opportunity to actively participate in projects and initiatives connected to global trends in technology and education.
