The Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics of the Technical University of Moldova reconfirms the performance of international study programs by successfully defending the 24 master’s theses within the double degree master’s programs, carried out in partnership with the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, Romania.
The defenses took place in the session of July 1, 2026, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the partner university, representing a new important stage in the consolidation of academic collaboration between the two institutions.
Within the Computers and Information Networks (CRI) – Communication Networks and Computers (RCC) program, 10 master’s students successfully defended their dissertation theses, addressing current topics in the field of communication networks, cloud platforms, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, FPGA systems, cybersecurity and industrial process automation.
At the same time, within the Information Technology (IT) – Computer Science and Engineering (CSI) program, 14 master’s students presented papers dedicated to the latest development directions in the field of information technologies, such as modern software architectures, distributed systems, blockchain, cloud-native infrastructures, Kubernetes, Web 3, IoT device security and ensuring the continuity of IT services.
The results obtained confirm the high level of training of the master’s students and their ability to develop innovative solutions for current challenges in the field of information technologies and communications.
An important role in the conduct of the dissertation examination was also played by the participation of the representative of the Technical University of Moldova, associate professor, Dr. Victor Ababii, in the evaluation committees, contributing to ensuring the quality of the evaluation process and strengthening the academic dimension of the joint programs.
Double degree master’s programs represent a model of international academic cooperation, offering students the opportunity to study in a competitive educational environment and benefit from the expertise of two prestigious universities. These results reconfirm the commitment of the Technical University of Moldova and the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics to academic excellence, internationalization and the training of competitive specialists, capable of meeting the demands of a constantly evolving digital economy.
