CIRCLE Research and Training Center

Launched as a result of a public-private partnership between TUM, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the Competitiveness Project from Moldova, funded by USAID and the Government of Sweden and two leading companies in the field of security – „Siemens” and „BitDefender”, with the mission to support two strategic priorities: the insurance of modern education linked to the market requirements, and according to the Digital Moldova strategy, the integration with the industry and business development. 

The main mission of the CIRCLE Research and Training Center is to provide organizational, informational, didactic, scientific and technical support for obtaining and maintaining excellence in the fundamental and applied scientific research activities, of university training and continuous training in the System Engineering field. 

The research attributions are: 

• Initiates projects oriented towards research-development-innovation that are interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary and/or institutional in collaboration with other research centers, with institutions in the field of education/research in the country and abroad, with partners from the socio-economic environment. 
• Organizes activities of scientific nature (scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, debates, round tables, work meetings, scientific competitions etc.) in accordance with the assumed research directions; 
• Stimulates and supports the elaboration and editing of the scientific research products (scientific articles, syntheses, research reports, specialized books, technical books, instructions for use, methodological guides, advertising materials and other publications for their own field of activity); 
• Promotes the development of partnerships between university research and the real sector of the national economy by organizing conferences, symposia, debates and scientific workshops, workshops, seminars, common projects of research and application; 
• Supports the activity of research and training of the specialists and young researches by organizing courses, regular meetings between specialists, setting up student scientific circles in the field of System Engineering; 
• Coordinates, implements and monitors the specific scientific research-development-innovation activities carried out at the level of the Center for research and training in the field of system engineering – CIRCLE, in accordance with the assumed research directions 
• Advises and offers specialized assistance in the process of developing, applying and implementing scientific research projects.
