The Objectives of The Center

The Cybersecurity Research and Training Center (CCISC) is a subdivision of the Technical University of Moldova created on 06.10.2016 with the support of the project “Cyber Defence Laboratory and Training at the Technical University of Moldova” financed by the NATO program “Science for peace and security”, with the support of the US Embassy in Moldova and the Special Telecommunications Center of Moldova 

CCISC’s objectives 

  • Research studies of the methods of ensuring the cyber security of digital networks and services for the prevention of cyber attacks and the strengthening of the cyber resilience of the information systems; 
  • Development of the software resources necessary to ensure the protection of data managed through cyber infrastructures; 
  • Implementation and testing of architectures and protocols with high degree of security; 
  • Stimulating the creative potential of teachers, doctoral students, master’s and students in the mentioned fields; 
  • Supporting the process of theoretical and practical training of the students, masters and doctoral students; 
  • Organizing cyber security exercises and simulations within CCISC; 
  • Organizing trainings and workshops in the field of cyber security for ICT personnel in the public and private sectors. 
  • Identification of economic agents from the public and private sectors interested in developing and perfecting the relevant competences in the field of cyber security; 
  • Editing publications, patenting technical solutions, participating at scientific forums and national & international expositions, participating in training courses and specialized studies of the cadres in the respective fields; 
  • Organization of scientific, methodical and practical sessions; 
  • Technical and informational support for the carrying of workshops and trainings in the field of cyber security for ICT personnel within public and private companies; 
  • Elaboration of the curricular framework for the disciplines specific to the field of cyber security; 
  • Dissemination of the obtained results and ensuring the publicity of CCISC’s results necessary for widening the concerned market segment.
