The Data Science master’s program aims to train specialists in data processing, specialists who equally master both the related tools related to information technologies (programming languages, design of information systems, etc.) and the statistical-probabilistic methods of modeling and calculation used in the research of random phenomena. The task of this master’s program is to provide master’s students with the skills, abilities, and knowledge necessary to become data analysts or data scientists, preparing them for a career in data science. The content of the disciplines will cover three distinct types of knowledge necessary for the field: programming languages necessary for data management and the construction of data warehouses; visual data exploration tools: types of graphs, dashborders, infographics and reporting forms, through specialized tools; predictive statistical analysis and dimensional analysis tools; mastering machine learning algorithms: data reduction and prediction algorithms, natural language processing, neural networks, etc.
