During March 19–21, 2026, students of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics of the Technical University of Moldova participated in the national stage of the “Tudor Tănăsescu” Student Professional Competition, held at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology of POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
The Technical University of Moldova was represented by the following students of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering: Anastasia MOVILEAN (MN-241), Andrei CURMEI (MN-241), Delia TUGUI (MN-241) and Anastasia BIHOVSCAIA (IBM-242).
Nicolai ABABII, associate professor, PhD, and Maxim CHIRIAC, assistant professor, were the coordinating teachers of the team and were also members of the examination committee of the competition.
Organized for over 50 years, the competition represents a benchmark of excellence for electronics students, offering the opportunity to test their theoretical and practical knowledge in fundamental areas such as Signals, Circuits and Systems (SCS) and Analog Integrated Circuits (AIC).
The department’s students participated in the SCS (Signals, Circuits and Systems) section, alongside the CIA (Analog Integrated Circuits) section, thus expanding the area of participation and consolidating the directions of academic performance.
Participating universities include the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Politehnica University Timisoara, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Technical University of Moldova in Chișinău and Maritime University of Constanța. The presence of these institutions in the CIA and SCS sections underlines the high level of competition and offers students the opportunity to compete in a diverse, stimulating and excellence-oriented academic environment.
Participation in this competition confirms the high level of preparation of students and the active involvement of teaching staff in supporting academic excellence.
