General description

  • The Software Engineering program trains specialists with a master’s degree, who demonstrate in-depth knowledge and key competencies regarding:  

    • Leading the design and long-term implementation of innovative information systems solutions;
    • Scientific research on organizational and informational aspects of systems;
    • Modeling complex information systems and their implementation through information systems;
    • Complete planning of products and services;
    • Defining the strategy for implementing new technologies in accordance with the company’s needs;
    • Applying risk management policies in the context of all potential constraints, including technical, economic and political.
  • A graduate will be able to perform the following activities:  

    • Choice of criteria and methods for the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of scientific methods and procedures applied to problem solving
    • Choosing the criteria and methods for evaluating the quality, performance and limits of the systems to be developed in accordance with the needs of the study organization, including those necessary for defining a quality and safety management system
    • Use of criteria and methods determined by application technologies to assess compliance with interoperability standards
    • Use of criteria and methods to evaluate the system development process in terms of quality and performance.
    • Use of criteria and methods for assessing the functional and nonfunctional characteristics of system components.
    • Modeling some typical problems in the applied sciences using the mathematical apparatus.
    • Elaboration of a project (system specification) under the conditions of the existence of a quality and safety management system.
    • Development of software applications using modern technologies for transmitting, storing and processing data in accordance with the needs of an organization.
    • Development and implementation of software for concrete problems in various areas of human activity.
    • Implementation of an architectural and infrastructure solution based on constraints stated by the project.
