Valeria Cabac, a student of the Data Science study program within the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics, demonstrates through her activity a remarkable level of civic involvement and representation of the youth of the Republic of Moldova at the European level.

Between April 22 and 24, she participated, as a Young European Ambassador, in a series of major events held in Brussels, dedicated to European cooperation and the role of young people in the development of society. Among the significant moments of the visit is the participation in the 30th anniversary of the TAIEX instrument – an essential mechanism of the European Union for supporting reforms and institutional strengthening of candidate states, including the Republic of Moldova.

The student was also present at the opening of the European Youth Week, organized in the premises of the European Parliament, where, together with over 1000 participants, she contributed to promoting dialogue, democratic values and the European perspective of the region.

Her participation in these events was facilitated by her involvement in the campaign „30 YEARS, 30 FACES OF TAIEX: partners’ stories”, where she had the opportunity to conduct interviews with Evgheni Kostetski, Director of the Civil Aeronautical Authority of the Republic of Moldova, as well as Mihai Lupașcu, Director of the Cybersecurity Agency, TAIEX beneficiary institutions, in which she discussed the tangible results of cooperation between the EU and Moldova as well as the benefits brought to citizens. The event highlighted the importance of the EU enlargement processes, of which the accession process of the Republic of Moldova is part, conclusions of the results and future plans, discussions facilitated by high-ranking EU officials including Marta Kos, European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.

This achievement reflects the fact that student status goes beyond the academic dimension, implying initiative, civic responsibility and active participation in the processes of societal transformation. The involvement of young people is an essential factor in promoting democratic values, modernizing the state and advancing the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

Valeia Cabac represents a relevant example of the potential of the young generation to contribute to real changes, demonstrating that through knowledge, involvement and vision, the future can be built responsibly and sustainably.

Congratulations on this achievement and much success in the future!
